For Mothers Navigating What's Next

The question about work that you keep coming back to.

Underneath it, the question of who you are now. From Here is a structured place to start.

Becoming a mother brings your deepest values to the surface. What you do with your working life starts to matter differently. The career that made sense before might still be the right career. Or it might not. Either way, something shifted. Researchers call this transition matrescence – the psychological and identity shift that comes with becoming a mother.

You might have spent months reading, thinking, turning it over late at night. Or you might not have had the bandwidth to start. Wherever you are in that process, this is a place to start.

From Here is the structured starting point you’ve been looking for.

About From Here

I've been inside the question.

I've spent the years since welcoming my first child doing exactly what you might be doing right now – reading, reflecting, attending workshops, filling out workbooks, journaling, and trying to make sense of how motherhood reorganized my relationship to work. I've read well over a hundred personal development books and attended more webinars and courses than I can count, all searching for structured clarity that didn't quite exist yet.

Before all of that, I'd completed an undergraduate degree in psychology, a master's in occupational therapy, and additional certification in perinatal mental health. That training gave me the frameworks to understand what I was experiencing – and to recognize that most of the career support available to mothers wasn't built for the complexity of what they're actually navigating.

My final research project for my occupational therapy degree focused on the transition to motherhood – several years before I became a mother myself. The question of how identity shifts during that passage has been a thread through my work long before it became personal.

My clinical work over the past fifteen years has been in community mental health, supporting people through the kinds of identity and capacity questions that motherhood surfaces.

From Here is what I wished had existed when I needed it – a structured starting point that meets you where you're at.
